Hey everyone. So, I have realized that I am not good at blogging. I started this blog back in July, made one posting, didn't tell anyone about my blog and haven't returned since...until now! I am going to try this again and try to post weekly (hopefully more!)
So, a quick update. The girls are now 16 months old and getting into EVERYTHING! At the end of the day, I am exhausted to say the least. It is so tiring staying home with two toddlers but so rewarding at the same time! They are amazing! We had our 15 month well check week before last (at closer to 16 months) and they are both still pretty tiny. Maggie weighed 19lbs. 10 oz and was 28 3/4 inches tall and Emma was 19lbs. 14 oz and 29 1/2 inches tall. They are both in the 5-10% in weight, Maggie's in the 5-10% in height and Emma 10-25% in height. Since they are still under 20lbs. and 30 inches, they are both still rear facing in the car. But thankfully they don't mind as long as they have each other! They can say quite a few words now, dog, bird, spider and "Shiloh" being their faves (for those of you who don't know, our dogs name is Shiloh). We have a little spider that has been living between our window and screen in the dining room for well over a month. He has about doubled in size since the first time we found him and the girls love that spider. They check on him at least 3 or 4 times a day. I hope he doesn't turn into bird food or run away anytime soon, I don't know what the girls will do when they don't have their spider to check up on daily! It's super cute! They are so smart.
I started attending a women's bible study last Wed. and I love it! I didn't realize how much I craved the fellowship with other women in these past 16 months of staying home with my girls until I was in a room full of women. It was amazing and I cannot wait until this coming Wed. to do it again! They have free child care for the two hours that we are fellowshipping so the girls stayed in the nursery. To say they did horribly would be an understatement! They cried pretty much the whole time which caused all of the other babies to cry too. What can I say, we are raising Mommy and Daddy's girls. I hope they get used to it soon because Momma cannot handle the thought of her babies crying for her for two hours straight again! Ms. Erin is an amazing lady though (one of their teachers) and a mommy to a two year old, so she really knows how to handle them. I am confident that this week will be better. Say a prayer for us, if you would!
We finally got some rain the other night. After a week of the gray clouds taunting us, the sky finally opened up and dumped some much needed rain down on us. We were so excited, we took the girls out to play in it. They had a BLAST! I took some pictures but don't know how to post them, so I will start working on that and hopefully get some pics posted soon!
I hope everyone has a safe and blessed Labor Day weekend!
