Could it already be "terrible twos"?...x 2!

So I don't know what the heck is going on lately, but my perfect little angel babies have been testing their Momma to the limits these past few days.  They will begin to get into something they know they're not suppose to be getting into and just look at me as they are doing it.  Then I will tell them "no, no, that's danger" and as they repeat the word "danger" to me, as they continue to do whatever it is that they aren't suppose to be doing.  I then remove them and they start throwing fits.  I mean, smacking the wall, stomping the feet, throwing themselves on the ground type of fits.  It's mostly Emma, but Maggie also has her moments.  For all of their little lives Mommy and Daddy have been their providers, protectors, their comfort and their place to go for hugs and kisses.  Now Mommy and Daddy have to take on the role of disciplinarian.  This role has been super hard for me!  I don't want to be angry or frustrated with them and I definitely don't want to have to discipline them, but I think the time has come...they might be sitting in a naughty chair here before long!

Then I start to wonder if they are acting out because mommy is preoccupied--maybe I'm so busy that what used to roll right off of me is now frustrating me.  I am now working a second job from home, taking care of two toddlers and trying to keep up with chores around the house!  It's been really tough and I am sure the girls are honing in on my stress.  I know in time it will get easier as I become more comfortable in my position with my new job, but for now it's just going to have to be hard because we need the extra income.  Jason has also taken on a part time job as well.  He is now in the Airforce Reserves and will work one weekend a month at Lackland AFB in San Antonio.  The medical benefits are awesome and a lot less expensive than the insurance we have now.  We're pretty excited...he's glad to be back a part of the military.  He has missed it over the past 10 years!  We haven't gotten his orders yet, so he has not served his first weekend, but we figure it is coming up soon.  I will keep you all posted on that new adventure for sure!

So, with all of the changes going on in our household (and the time change, ugh!) I think the girls are just feeding off of our "overwhelmedness" (I made that word up...like it?) and acting out a bit.  I am hoping it's just a phase!  Please pray for us!

I will post some pictures soon...I'm too tired to post any now!  God bless you all!
